The Model Code

 

 

The first 2 digits identifies the basic model. This comes from the metal tag on the right side of the bike, not from the # stamped on the steering head.

 

 

· 12-90 Deluxe/Trail/Mountain (non oil injected models)

· 13-50 Sport

· 14-90 Sport

· 15-60 Sport

· 16-DT/HS 175

· 17-90 Deluxe/Trail/Mountain (oil injected models)

· 18-90 Sport (oil injected models)

· 19-Bridgestone Reserved

· 20-100 Sport/100 SR

· 21-350 GTO/GTR

· 22-100 GP/100 TMX

· 23-200 RS/200 SS

 

 

 

 

The Month & Year Code

 

 

The first letter after the 2 digits identifies the month and year of manufacture & not the model year it was sold or titled.
